People can lose their teeth for a wide variety of reasons, including infection, gum disease, accident or injury. When natural teeth are lost or removed, many problems can occur. Dental implants can replace missing teeth and look, feel and function just like natural teeth. Patients with dental implants report better ability to chew food and eat properly, renewed confidence while speaking and better self-esteem. Take a look through some common questions below, and give us a call today to schedule a Free Consultation!
The implant process is completed over the course of 3 appointments. First, the anchors are placed where you are missing teeth and time is allowed for them to fuse to the jaw to create a solid foundation for the implant. Once this process is complete, you will be scheduled for your second visit during which we will place the titanium posts. Lastly, the dental crown is placed on top of the posts in place of your missing tooth.
Yes, your implant will match the rest of your natural teeth! The dental crown is custom designed to fit your mouth and color matched to your surrounding teeth. It will look completely natural and blend into your smile.
Dental implants are made to last forever! With proper care and maintenance, your implants should last for many years to come. Continuing to visit your dentist twice a year for cleanings and proper home care is important to make your dental implants last a lifetime.
